I haven't posted for a long time

I haven't written anything on my blog for a long time because I feel constantly tired and almost constantly sleepy.

I still don’t see much change in my life, but there are a couple of things I can talk about.

Job

I don’t remember whether I made a post about changes in my work or not, but I transferred to another department where I became more comfortable working and had a little more time for other projects. Yes, I still need to audit the servers, but this time there is at least some old audit and I don’t have to start from scratch. Plus, in the new department they allow me to touch the servers or deploy my virtual machines for some experiments.

Peertube

My Peertube instance began to grow, which I was quite surprised by. If this continues, I will have to figure out something with donations for my server, because my salary at work is not designed to support any services that require a lot of disk space or if anything requires a lot of power from my server. I have now transferred my instance to the alpha 3 state and will soon be updating the rules of conduct and moderation. I introduced the alpha-3 state quite a long time ago, but unfortunately I didn’t have time to immediately update the rules in the instance.

Radio

I recently got the idea again to spin up an Azuracast or Icecast server to stream my music library. At a minimum, I wanted to just test for one month how much Internet I would spend on my phone to check whether it would really reduce traffic consumption (which would allow me to stream music in better quality, and not compressed to 64kbps as at the moment) or whether I shouldn’t bother with this.

Social media

I still don’t see any reason to start deploying my own social networking instances, because the communities I’m a part of and my friends don’t really want it. But I don’t have my own personal community that revolves around me. For these reasons there are no social networks at the moment.

Recent Events

Recently, my work colleagues and I carried out a special operation to rescue a wrecked Lada car. For this we decided to use a radio-controlled small tractor. The decision to use a radio-controlled small tractor had at least 2 reasons: we wanted to check how far this small tractor would go this time and at the same time, if everything worked out successfully, to evacuate this wrecked Lada. It was a lot of fun and we even started evacuating, but for some reason the equipment inside this little tractor burned out and it almost fell into a ditch with sewage. We were unable to restore the electronics on site, so we converted the tractor back to manual control and evacuated the Lada to the end.

That's all I can talk about at the moment.
